A HOUSEWARMING SORT OF HOMECOMING! From front left: Elena Simon DiLello, Colleen Riffert, Karen Stahl Sisco, Katy Weber Abram, Sharon Wilson Kerstetter, Phi Delta sister Robyn Focht Bono. Back row: Allyson Arnold Hackman, Kristen Klinger Pinkowski, Nicole Caucci, Lisa Cellini Romero, Sue Cevasco, Rachel Wilbur Wacek, Billie Jo Matelevich Hoang, Stephanie Rinaldis Monroig, Ky Kauffman, and Phi Delta sister Darla Deibler.

MAY 4 PROVED TO BE A VERY SUCCESSFUL HOUSEWARMING! More than 120 people attended, including a large group of alumnae ranging from some of the earliest sisters to recent graduates!

The informal housewarming, which featured a picnic on an increasingly warm day (!), was a great way to end the term - giving everyone an opportunity to admire our new house and enjoy the company of sisters of all ages.

Mother's Pinning - 2008

Mother's pinning
SMILING MOMS! Archon Ashley Hrichak poses with her mother and grandmothers at this weekend's Mother's Pinning event!

MOMS, GRANDMOMS AND DAUGHTERS enjoyed a beautiful day and a wonderful Phi Sigma Sigma ritual on Sunday, May 4 -- our annual "Mother's Pinning," in which sisters recognize the important women in their lives who've helped them learn to live and love.

This year's turnout was even better than last year! And when the ritual was completed, families returned to the Phi Sigma Sigma house for a picnic.

A special day in every way!

ROCKATHON raises funds for Phi Sig Foundation!

ROCKING FOR A GOOD CAUSE! Phi Sig sisters enjoyed a day of sisterhood participating in our national philanthropy. Photo credit: BloomUToday.com.

HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS WERE RAISED IN A SINGLE DAY as Phi Sigs rocked their hearts out on campus for a great cause.

Our annual ROCKATHON event, spanning more than 20 years at Bloomsburg, gives our women a chance to speak about our primary philanthropy, the National Kidney Foundation.

Kidney disease affects millions of people - particularly women and children. We're working hard to raise funds to keep people healthy and happy!

All totalled, Phi Sigs at Bloomsburg will have raised an estimated $1,500 for this worthy cause. Thanks to all who contributed!

Snaps to Phi Sig - for a great Greek Week!

laurel

WHAT A SUPER SHOWING! Phi Sigma Sigma sisters earned second place for laurel points this year - making it one of the best Greek organizations on campus for community service! (We came in second, which is pretty cool, since that's the first time we've done so well in a looooonng time.)

Other notable awards earned during Greek Week:

  • No. 1 fundraising idea

  • Phi Sigma Sigma of the year: Tami Alexander (outgoing CPC president)

  • Athlete of the year: Bridget Maenner (second consecutive year winning this honor!)

Congrats to our sisters and the chapter for a great year!
